Getting started with DIY lashes

There is a growing popularity for doing your own lashes at home, There are a few reasons for this, two of them being saving time and money.

I myself became a lash girlie 2 years ago at the age of 30. It took me a little while to understand what best suited me so I'm sharing my secrets to help you find the right lash for you and master your DIY lash application faster!

Here are my top tips!

Eyeshape

Understanding your eye shape is very important to finding your perfect lash match. Click here to see our guide on determining your eyeshape.

     The curls

A C curl is a flatter & more natural curl

A D curl is more lifted so it can be seen as more dramatic, however with a wispy lash it can be very subtle and pretty.

    Lengths

3 different lengths is normal to have on one eye. This is how you are going to be able to tailor your lash to create different effects.

3 neighboring lengths from the following are most popular

    - 8mm
    - 10mm
    - 12mm
    - 14mm
    - 16mm

Wearing the same length across your entire eye is a missed opportunity to open your eyes and create balance

    The effects

Now you know your eye type, you have seen you either suit a doll, fox or wing eye effect. Check out our mapping guides to help you create these different effects here

    Mix length vs the same

A segment will either be made up of lash fibres all the same length or mixed lengths. A same length segment will give you a denser look while a mixed length segment will give you a wispier look
